RPi X11 autostart

We are using raspbian

Automatic start

With raspi-config check that the Pi is starting in desktop mode logged with pi user

diable screen server

Also to disable screen server add a package:

sudo apt-get install x11-xserver-utils

and edit /etc/sdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart as follows: (commen xcreensaver and add the xset commands):

#@xscreensaver -no-splash
@xset s off
@xset -dpms
@xset s noblank

starting a program

edit /etc/sdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart and add:

@sh /home/pi/start.sh

the statup script

File: /home/pi/start.sh

#!/usr/bin/sh

epiphany-browser

This will start epihany browser


test with cromium

sudo apt-get install chromium

File: /home/pi/start.sh

#!/usr/bin/sh

chromium -kiosk http://myniceurl.com/
